Student Enrollment, Payment, Scheduling, Equipment, Safety & Training Policies
Welcome to Guardian Safety & Security Training Academy. Our mission is to provide professional, affordable, practical, and safety-focused training for security professionals, firearm owners, church safety teams, business owners, and members of the public. These policies are designed to protect students, instructors, staff, and training facilities while ensuring a professional learning environment.
ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT POLICY
A $50 Non-Refundable Enrollment Deposit is required to reserve a seat in most Guardian Safety & Security Training Academy courses.
The enrollment deposit:
• Reserves your seat in the selected course
• Applies toward your course tuition
• Assists with classroom scheduling, instructor commitments, and training resources
The enrollment deposit is non-refundable.
Guardian Safety & Security Training Academy may, at its sole discretion, permit a deposit transfer to a future course date when sufficient notice is provided and accommodations can be made.
Failure to attend a scheduled course without notice may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
PAYMENT POLICY
The remaining course balance must be paid in full on or before the scheduled class date.
Accepted payment methods may include:

• Money Order
Cash, Money Order, and Credit/Debit Card payments made directly to Guardian must be received no later than the day before class unless prior arrangements have been approved.
Students with unpaid balances may be denied entry into training until payment requirements have been satisfied.
Returned payments, chargebacks, or disputed transactions may result in removal from future training opportunities until the matter is resolved.
TRAINING LOCATIONS
Guardian Safety & Security Training Academy's initial classroom-based training programs will be conducted in Waco, Texas.
Specific classroom locations will be provided to registered students prior to the scheduled training date.

Training locations are selected based upon:
• Student enrollment
• Classroom availability
• Accessibility

For safety and operational reasons, classroom locations may not be publicly advertised.

As the Academy grows, Guardian plans to host training events throughout Texas and other markets where sufficient demand exists.

TRAINING SCHEDULES
Current classroom training schedules are anticipated to occur during the:
1st and 3rd Weeks of Each Month
Primary Training Days:
• Tuesday
• Thursday
Standard Classroom Hours:
• 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Schedules may be adjusted based upon enrollment, instructor availability, facility availability, holidays, weather conditions, or operational needs.
Guardian reserves the right to modify schedules when necessary.
SHORT COURSES
Short-format courses generally include:
• Continuing Education (CE)
• OSHA Courses
• Safety Refreshers
• Professional Development
• Specialty Workshops
• Orientation Programs
Typical Duration:
• 60 Minutes to 2 Hours
Short courses are generally scheduled as morning classes and are expected to conclude by noon.
STANDARD COURSES
Many 8-hour courses are conducted over two training days.
Example:
Day One:
Tuesday
2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Day Two:
Thursday
2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Total Training Time:
8 Hours
This format allows students to balance work, family, and training obligations.
EXTENDED & SPECIALTY COURSES
Longer courses, instructor certifications, advanced firearms programs, less-lethal certifications, security certifications, and specialty programs may require additional classroom sessions, practical exercises, range days, or testing requirements.
These courses are scheduled based on:
• Student enrollment
• Instructor availability
• Facility availability
• Range availability
• Course requirements
Course-specific schedules will be announced prior to training.
CLASS SIZE POLICY
Guardian Safety & Security Training Academy intentionally limits class sizes.
Typical class sizes are:
8–12 Students
Smaller class sizes allow instructors to provide:
• Individualized attention
• Better student engagement
• Improved comprehension
• Additional opportunities for questions
• Greater student success rates
Our objective is not simply to fill classrooms. Our objective is to ensure students understand the material and successfully complete training requirements.
PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
Private one-on-one instruction is available.
Additional Private Instruction Fee:
$100
Private instruction is subject to:
• Instructor availability
• Facility availability
• Course suitability
Private instruction may be beneficial for professionals requiring flexible schedules or individualized instruction.
STUDENT EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES POLICY
Unless specifically stated otherwise, students are responsible for providing their own:
• Firearms
• Ammunition
• Holsters
• Magazines
• Magazine carriers
• Eye protection
• Ear protection
• Duty gear
• Less-lethal devices
• Notebooks and writing materials
• Hydration and weather-appropriate clothing
• Any other course-required equipment
Students should review course requirements before attending training.
Students arriving without required equipment may be unable to complete training requirements, qualifications, or certifications.
No refunds will be issued due to a student's failure to bring required equipment or supplies.
EQUIPMENT SAFETY VERIFICATION
Students are responsible for ensuring all firearms and less-lethal devices brought to training are:
• Safe
• Functional
• Properly maintained
• Free of active manufacturer recalls
Students are encouraged to verify equipment safety through:
• The manufacturer
• The manufacturer's website
• A qualified gunsmith
• A reputable firearm retailer or dealer
Any firearm or less-lethal device subject to an active manufacturer recall may not be used during live-fire or practical training until the recall has been resolved.
Guardian reserves the right to prohibit the use of any firearm, less-lethal device, ammunition, accessory, or equipment deemed unsafe.
Safety decisions made by instructors, Range Safety Officers, or Academy management are final.
RECORDING & MONITORING POLICY
For safety, quality assurance, training review, and liability protection, classroom and practical training sessions may be audio and/or video recorded.
Recordings may be used for:
• Safety documentation
• Incident review
• Instructor evaluation
• Quality assurance
• Liability protection
• Training improvement
Enrollment in any Guardian course constitutes acknowledgment and consent to this policy.
CLASSROOM SAFETY POLICY
Safety is our highest priority.
The following rules apply to all classroom environments.
NO loaded firearms are permitted in any classroom.
NO live ammunition is permitted in any classroom.
NO loaded less-lethal devices are permitted in any classroom.
Before entering the classroom:
• Firearms must be unloaded
• Magazines must be removed
• Chambers must be cleared
• Less-lethal devices must be unloaded
• CO₂ cartridges should be removed when applicable
Instructors may inspect equipment at any time.
Students violating safety requirements may be removed from training without refund.
RANGE TRAINING POLICY
Certain courses include:
• Live-fire firearms training
• Less-lethal training
• Practical exercises
• Qualification requirements
Guardian utilizes both private and public shooting ranges based upon:
• Lane availability
• Range schedules
• Student enrollment
• Course requirements
• Instructor availability
• Safety considerations
Students should anticipate that range facilities may be located approximately 30 minutes from the classroom location.
Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation unless otherwise specified.
Specific range locations are provided only to registered students and authorized participants.
RANGE SAFETY RULES
All students must comply with Academy policies, Range Safety Officer instructions, and facility-specific requirements.
The Four Universal Firearms Safety Rules always apply:
1. Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.
2. Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy.
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to fire.
4. Be sure of your target, what is around it, and what is beyond it.
Additional Requirements:
• Follow all instructor commands
• Follow all Range Safety Officer commands
• Wear required eye protection
• Wear required hearing protection
• Maintain professional conduct
• Immediately report unsafe conditions
Failure to comply with safety requirements may result in immediate removal from training.
ATTENDANCE & COMPLETION POLICY
Students must attend all required classroom, practical, and testing portions of a course to receive course completion documentation, certificates, or qualification records.
Late arrivals, excessive absences, or failure to complete required exercises may require rescheduling or re-enrollment.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
Guardian Safety & Security Training Academy reserves the right to deny enrollment or remove any participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, unlawful, threatening, dishonest, impaired, or otherwise inconsistent with Academy standards.
STUDENT ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By registering for a course, submitting an enrollment deposit, making payment, attending training, or participating in classroom or range activities, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these policies.
